Exclusive Autosport Eyes F1600 Can-Am Cup - Scott Andrews Lined up for Toyo Tires F1600 Series Finale

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Exclusive Autosport will be back in action in Canada this weekend with Scott Andrews spearheading a solo attack on the Can-Am Cup, part of the Toyo Tires F1600 season finale held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, 11th-13th September.

Having swept the previous double-header round of the Toyo Tires F1600 Series at Calabogie Motorsports Park in August, Andrews (24) is keen for a similarly dominant showing racing the #92 Exclusive Autosport / Exclusive Management Inc. / Automobility PTY Ltd / Andrews Automotive / Spectrum / Sparco / Honda Racing HPD entry.

The Australian currently leads the F1600 Formula F Championship Series in the United States but this weekend his task will be to capture the Can-Am Cup, one of the few accolades absent from Exclusive Autosport’s impressive resume, which includes back-to-back titles in both the Toyo Tires F1600 Series and Formula 1600 Pro Tour Series in 2013 and 2014.

With seven F1600 wins south of the border, a single-season record, and two more victories from his Calabogie excursion in Canada, Scott has proved himself to be a consistent force driving for Michael Duncalfe’s Exclusive Autosport, the official North American factory Spectrum team.

“The Can-Am Cup is a prestigious trophy in Canadian F1600 competition and a title we’ve yet to earn,” stated Exclusive Autosport Team Principal Michael Duncalfe.  “Scott’s enjoyed a phenomenal season competing in F1600 and I can’t think of a better driver currently to take to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and compete for the cup.

“His confidence will be high having taken both poles and both wins in this series last month and of course, he’s been the series leader all season long in US F1600. We’re certainly taking nothing for granted but I know in pairing Scott together with our factory Spectrum we have a tough race package to beat.”

“I’m thrilled to get another chance to compete in Canada in the Toyo Tires F1600 Series,” enthused Scott Andrews.  “I know how much winning the Can-Am Cup means to Michael and the whole Exclusive Autosport team.  I’m looking forward to racing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the first time and hopefully picking up where we left off at Calabogie in August.”

Results from the weekend’s races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Bowmanville, Ontario will be posted online:

Formed in 2013, Exclusive Autosport has quickly forged a reputation as one of North America’s premier junior formula outfits.  Championship success came quickly under Michael Duncalfe’s leadership with notable achievements including back-to-back driver titles in 2013 and 2014 in the Canadian Toyo Tires F1600 A-Class Championship and in the Quebec Formula Tour 1600 Pro-Class Championship.

Exclusive Management Inc. is the official North American Importer and Distributor for Spectrum Chassis, designed and produced by Borland Racing Developments in Australia.
